Getting to the heart of housing justice

Celebrate the power of arts and culture in advancing housing justice at the National Public Housing Museum’s first-ever Civic Love Luncheon.

Join us on April 22 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel for an inspiring gathering of cultural activists, policy leaders, philanthropists, and public housing community members. We’ll honor Elizabeth Alexander—poet, author, and president of the Mellon Foundation—with a special conversation on how arts can drive just housing policies.

Guests are encouraged to wear business casual attire.

The National Public Housing Museum is the first cultural institution in the United States dedicated to telling the story of the American experience in public housing. The Museum draws on the power of place and memory to preserve, promote, and propel the right of all people to a place where they can prosper—a place to call home.

The National Public Housing Museum is located on the traditional and ongoing homelands of several indigenous tribes, including the Potawatomi, Ojibwe, and Odawa Nations. We are working with regional Indigenous communities to co-create our land acknowledgement statement.
